About me

Daniel Cooney - I Paint and make other ART things
Former Professor of Art, Bridgewater State University 2001 - 2012
MFA UC Berkeley, Painting 1989
BFA Swain School of Design, Graphic Design, 1981
I am a project oriented visual communicator who enjoys all stages of the creative design process and working with a variety of materials. Commercial or cultural, I have had the pleasure
of working with individuals, corporations, schools, and communities on all types of visual projects, exhibitions, publications and events.
At the end of the day, I primarily consider myself a painter of pictures. I tend to work in series as I focus on a particular area of content or form for as long as it remains challenging
and holds my interest. I am beginning to show my work again after taking a few years off to focus on our import business and raising our boys. I'll try to do a better job of keeping up with this
site as I move forward. Thank you for your interest.
Recently, I've been asked about prices for my paintings. My focus has always been on making good and compelling work, but I'm always open to finding good homes for my work. I am represented in many private collections.
Most of the paintings I sell are between $300. and $3,000. with a few exceptions. I have been too busy lately with our import business to pursue gallery representation or other sales outlets. Christine says she'll become my sales agent when she finds more time... until then, feel free to send me an e-mail if you see something you might be interested in owning, and I'll give you a price.
Cheers!
